A 2015 reflection

Now, forgive me if you have already received my newsletter as this content will be much the same, but please do continue to the end as I have a little new content for you!


I also wanted to tell you about my amazing Question and Answer book I got 2 years at. It’s almost like a New Years resolution book, you write the answers to questions it asks you every day for a year. These questions can range from anything such as ‘What did you have for dinner?’ ‘What is your mission?’ ‘Can people change?’ The same question is asked on the same day of the year and it lasts for 5 years so you can create loads of memories! I’ve had so much fun reflecting on past years and comparing where I’ve been and where I am. It’s fantastic seeing you have completed goals and even when you haven’t it makes you more determined to achieve them! If you wanna pick up one of these great little books you can find them here.

2014 Resolutions

This is only the second time I have made a New Years Resolutions List but I think it’s important to reflect on the year and acknowledge your accomplishments. It’s always good to have your goals in mind too, well here they are;

1.) Continue with weightloss, continue with Zumba, continue with Aquq fit, get stronger, fitter and have more energy! (not asking much!)


2.) Take more pictures, do more planned shoots and liaise with designers and stylists.

3.) Keep making lists, Keep being organised and finish that Dissertation without dying!


4.) Get serious about Boudoir photography, do some shoots, keep your head high and get some contacts.

5.) Get serious about finding a job after uni, apply for internships and grab every opportunity!


6.) Book a holiday / time off in the summer to celebrate finishing uni and all my hard work.

7.) Never settle for second best, keep reaching and dreaming for what you want.

8.) Seriously start looking at houses / flats and save money for a deposit! (start a scheme that helps you save money)


9.) Go to the beach in the summer – I used to love the beach.

10.) Visit Kent with mum / friends / Adam to see Becky & Bex and for lots of shopping.

Happy New Year!

Well it’s been almost a month since I have blogged (oops!) and I’m finding it extremely difficult to get back into the swing of things in almost every aspect of my life. That being said, I am back to uni now and that gives me all sorts of things to write (complain!) about. Last year I did my first ever Proper New Years Resolution list and I am going to see if I completed any of them at all.

1.) Lose more weight – Beach bod! I recently bought this bikini and it WILL look good!

Ok so I didn’t lose more weight, but I DID maintain my weight and I am getting back on the wagon.


2.) Do a photo shoot a month! Self explanatory really!
Again, this lasted up until June, where I started a part time job and got really busy, but I’m proud of the shoots I did and it all goes towards my portfolio.
3.) Go out once a month. I never know when to have a break from work and just have fun!
Let’s be honest, I have had a rubbish year and I struggled to find friends at uni around Easter this year. However in desperate times I definitely remembered to go out for dinner and try to let my hair down a bit. 
4.) Stay Organised /Write everything down
This makes me laugh because when / if my boyfriend reads this then he will say I have completely taken this to the extreme. But I don’t care. I love it and it keeps me on track –
5.) Be good with money – STAY AWAY FROM EBAY
Haha, this never ever happened. BUT – by the end of the academic year I still had money (unlike the previous year). I also got a part time job and have had to get used to living on a monthly wage.
6.)Be happy & positive
You know what? Since I have moved home I have been so much happier and better within myself. I still struggle to find any positive things about uni work – except it’s nearly all over!
7.) Plan my 21st – Disney on firework night anyone? 😛
Well…you can read about my 21st here, best week of my life. I had a lovely meal with my family too, and a rather unplanned evening with my friends, but hey you can’t have it all!
8.) Go to exhibitions – I don’t always enjoy them but I need to !
I have been to a few, and popped in when I have seen them on my travels.
9.) Calm down
hahahahah.  I don’t think I’ll ever change.
10.) Enter more competitions
I entered a fair few for my course and I’m really proud that I got No. 13 out of around 250 contestants in a competition to photograph Ellie Goulding.
So I have managed to do 5/10 of my resolutions and to be honest I just don’t think that is too shabby! I am really proud and I can’t wait to write another list. Any of the ones I didn’t complete or almost completed I will carry over to the next list if I feel that they apply to me in the coming year.
